Categories of Wrinkles:

It is a known fact that all of us experience wrinkles in our lives at some point either earlier or later. Generally the wrinkles are placed in two categories which are:

Dynamic wrinkles
This category includes the wrinkles which are caused by the repeated facial expression which form creases in the skin.

Static wrinkles
The static wrinkles are the lines that occur as the skin loses elasticity and collagen and eventually sag.
However according to the latest studies four different categories of wrinkles are identified which are as follows:
• Atrophic Crinkling Rhytids
These types of wrinkles are those little lines that disappear when skin is stretched taut. They can occur on face or anywhere on the body.

These winkles are caused as a result of loss of collagen and elasticity which leads to skin sagging. The main reason is sun damage, as UV exposure unleashes the free radicals in the skin that are responsible for the breakdown of collagen and elastin. These two components are the building blocks that give firmness and structure to our skin.

Permanent Elastic Creases
These wrinkles become permanent crease lines as we age. These wrinkles tend to show up on cheeks, base of neck and upper lips. They are worsening by the repeated sun exposure. These lines become deep due to the smoking. The lines around the lips that are form by the repeatedly pursing the mouth are the example of this type of wrinkles. Through experiments it is observed that people who smokes more and have more exposure to sun are more prone to have wrinkles and look years older than the people who don’t smoke and have less exposure to direct sunlight.

Dynamic Expression Lines
These are the lines that one gets from repeated facial muscle movements that are responsible for the creases in the skin which become more permanent. They are mostly found around the eyes, mouth and forehead. People get these lines basically being a human being and living their life. These wrinkles are like a collection of little movements from every time one squinted on a sunny day, frowned on something annoying or laughed at an inside joke.
These lines and creases are unstoppable and can’t be avoided.

Gravitational Folds
These wrinkles appear on the body as naturally with age our skin loses structure and starts to fold and sag. This type of wrinkles is named after the fact that they are the result of passing time and the effect of gravity thus makes gravitational folds. With the increase in age, our skin starts to lose collagen and elastin which leads to the sagging and wrinkling of the skin.
Through researches it is found that these wrinkles and lines are more apparent on a lean face with thinner skin and the face with thicker skin will show less of these types of folds.

What are the Causes of Wrinkles?
Wrinkles are the natural part of aging process and it is one of the defining attributes of aging. As people get older, their skin gets drier, less elastic, thinner and less able to protect itself from damage. This all leads to creases, wrinkles and lines on the skin.
Wrinkles can also occur at the younger ages due to the facial expressions for example frequently smiling, frowning or squinting can lead to fine lines. According to research a groove is formed under the surface of the skin each time a person uses a facial muscle.
At the younger age, wrinkles can be recovered as the skin springs back, but as the age increases and person grow older the skin loses its flexibility. It becomes difficult for the skin to spring back become harder and less frequent which results in more permanent grooves. Many other factors which can be avoided are also involved in the wrinkles formation i.e. exposure to the ultraviolet or UV light such as through tanning booths, sunbathing and outdoor sports mainly increases the chance of developing wrinkles earlier than the actual time. UV light is responsible for the breakdown of collagen and elast in fibers in the skin. These fibers form the connective tissue which supports the skin and when they become weaker and less flexible the skin start to droop and wrinkles appear.

How to Treat Wrinkles?
There are two main types of wrinkles, deep furrows and surface line. Two types of treatments are provided accordingly if they have any effect.

• The basic wrinkle treatment tends to help reduce the fine lines which include Medications.
• Deep furrows can be treated by more aggressive techniques such as plastic surgery or injections of fillers. Surgical options include Dermabrasion, Laser Therapy, Botox, Chemical peels, Face lift and Fillers. These surgical ways of treating wrinkles are not only expensive but also comes with the pain.

The advance ways of treatment includes machines, creams, electric Facial massage and cleanser machines. They are quick and fast ways of treating and removing the facial wrinkles and includes no pain and long processes.
